We left American Girl Mines at 8:20 am. we had full sun and the promise of another great day. We followed Bill and Sue into Yuma where the were picking up their couch and chairs they had recovered at a business in the Yuma Flea Market. Steve and I walked around the Flea market while we waited for the furniture to be fitted. Unfortunately for Bill and Sue, their furniture wasn’t quite right and didn’t fit properly so they had to leave it behind and will return during the week to pick it up. We arrived at Quartzsite, Plomosa Road at around 1:30 pm. The four of us parked our RV’s by our friend’s Ray and Pam Santana who were already there with some fellow Xscapers. We met Ray and Pam last year at the Annual Bash and again in Mexico.
Later in the day Bill, Sue, Steve and myself went for a 6.8 mile bike ride in the desert. Quartzsite also has many trails you can hike, walk or bike. It was awesome.
We had happy hour at the “community fire” and meeting after dinner for evening drinks in “the clam”. What a wonderful day!!!

It seems to be a trend, but we woke up to another clear, sunny warm day. I have been working out with my hula hoop every morning for about 35 minutes. I am trying to strengthen my core and heard this is a good exercise to do that. Today the plan is to go into Quartzsite, a pub called Beer Belly’s and then Silly Al’s, who has the best pizza’s in the area for dinner. Silly Al’s is a Quartzsite tradition and every time we visit, we have a beer and pizza there.
There was myself, Steve, Bill, Sue, Pam, Ray, Justin, Tom, Nicki and Davey!!

Another beautiful day in paradise!!! Overnight it was 37 degrees but we woke up to a clear, sunny morning. After my hula hoop exercise. I met Pam and Nicki for a 3 mile walk with the dogs at 10 o’clock. This is a daily occurrence and we call ourselves the walking club. It happens after coffee time at 9:00 am. where we all meet at our central campfire area to bid each other a good morning. Pam and Ray don’t always make it in time as they are on “Santana Time” which is later than our watches!! While on our walk, we ran into Joanne and Chuck from New York who are also fellow Xscapers and we hang out with in Mexico last year. We had happy hour at 3:30 pm. and a potluck burger dinner at 5:00 pm. I brought a caesar salad and supplied the burgers for us and Bill and Sue. We barbecued in the clam at Pam and Ray’s on their big barbecue. After dinner we had a campfire using the propane campfire in the clam. It was a wonderful evening with great food and great people!!

Today was another sunny ward day. Temperatures in mid 60’s with lots of sunshine and breezy. Hula hooped for 40 minutes and went for a 3.7 mile walk with Pam, Nicki and Joanne. Today was a down day so we just hung around the trailer. Steve and I, Bill and Sue did go for a 9 mile bike ride. We ended up near I95 where the trails were quite rocky and steep. Bill and Sue also have ebikes so the we were able to keep up with Steve who doesn’t have an ebike but rides much faster and harder than the rest of us. After that ride we were ready for happy hour and a nice cold beer!! Bill made chicken livers which were delicious.

Today the day started out sunny but clouded over in the afternoon. Pam, Ray, Justin, Tom Trish and Mac all left by 10:30 am. heading to Cattail Cove State Park near Lake Havasu City. We are heading there tomorrow. Bill and Sue went to Yuma to get their furniture. I hula hooped for 45 minutes and walked for 3.03 miles. The rest of the day was relaxing and reading. For lunch Steve and I used our solar wiener roasters and had hot dogs. They worked really well and the hot dogs were delicious!! Bill, Sue, Joanne, Chuck, Nicki and Davie joined us for happy hour. It went late into the evening so Bill made us all sausages on a bun!!
