We reached American Girl Mines and secured our favorite spot near the hill where we had camped briefly last year. The hill serves as a shield against the strong winds that can occur at AGM. After setting up, we took a stroll around the area. Despite a large group present, the campground was still relatively peaceful with not many RVs around. The following week was laid-back for us; we spent most of our time unwinding at the RV, only going for walks daily. We enjoyed the sight of lovely desert flowers in full bloom during our stay.
